Questions about your systems, and eleven actions behind one shortcut

What Verbiqo does.

Ask about the systems you run: eight kinds of them, read-only, with findings Verbiqo computes itself. Then, for everything you write: select text anywhere, press the shortcut, and choose. Five actions rewrite what you selected, two pull something out of it, four answer beside it and leave your text alone, and whole documents can be summarized from a file.

Rewrite it

These replace the text you selected, once the replacement has been checked. Email addresses, links, file paths, hostnames and version numbers are validated afterwards; if the model alters one, the replacement is refused rather than applied.

Fix grammar

Corrects spelling, agreement and punctuation, and changes nothing else. The wording you chose stays the wording you chose.

Professional

Raises the register for a customer, a manager or a ticket, without turning three sentences into eight.

Friendly

Softens something that reads sharper than you meant, which is most things typed quickly.

Concise

Cuts the padding. Useful on the paragraph you wrote twice because the first attempt was thinking out loud.

Clear technical

Keeps the precision and drops the jargon, for a runbook, a postmortem or an incident update that non specialists will read.

Pull something out of it

For the long thread, the specification nobody has read, or the document you have been asked to act on by Friday.

Summarize

What the text says, in a few sentences, in the order that matters rather than the order it was written.

Key points

The decisions, owners and dates as a list you can paste into notes.

Ask about it

These four never touch your selection. They answer in a window beside it, because overwriting an error you are trying to understand would destroy the thing you are asking about.

Sanitize

Gives you a redacted copy of the selection, with hostnames, addresses, accounts, keys and credentials replaced by stable placeholders. The same value gets the same placeholder throughout, so the trace still reads as one story, and the window lists what was replaced.

Nothing is touched until you say so. The selection is usually a log somebody else posted or output in a terminal, where there is nothing writable to replace, so copying it and putting it into a document are both buttons. Your clipboard is not overwritten either, for the same reason Verbiqo restores it after a paste.

No model involved. It is deterministic, every rule is covered by a test, and it works with your AI service switched off. A model asked to remove secrets can miss one, and a miss is the whole failure this exists to prevent.

Explain

Says what an error, a log or a stack trace means, and what to check. Then it stays open so you can ask follow up questions about the same selection.

It searches all of what you selected, so a question about something buried in the middle of a long log is answered from that part. When your selection does not mention the thing you asked about, it says so instead of guessing. Nothing is saved: the session ends when you close the window.

See a session

Translate

Translates the selection between English and Spanish, choosing the direction from what you selected. Names, hostnames, file paths, identifiers, commands and numbers are carried across unchanged, because they are the same string in every language.

It answers beside your text rather than replacing it, and the window has a Replace button. You cannot proofread a translation into a language you do not read, which is usually why you asked for one, so putting it into your document stays a decision you make.

Draft a reply

Writes an answer to a message you have been sent, matching how formal the original was. It reads through chat timestamps, and it will not invent a ticket number, a date or a commitment that was not in front of it.

Beyond your selection

Some questions are bigger than a few lines of text. These start from the Verbiqo menu bar icon instead of a selection.

Summarize a document

Choose a PDF, Word, RTF, Markdown or text file and get its summary in a window, ready to copy or save. Long documents are summarized in sections and brought together. The file is only read, never changed.

If your AI service is outside your computer, Verbiqo asks before the document’s text leaves it. How it works

Ask anything

Open Explain / Ask with nothing selected and it is an assistant you talk to: think a problem through, plan a change, draft something and refine it over as many turns as you need. Paste in what you are working on. Long conversations are condensed as they grow, and everything is forgotten when you close the window.

Ask about your systems

Attach a system to the conversation with one command and ask in plain words: why did the payments service slow down yesterday afternoon? Verbiqo investigates step by step: it works out what to look at, measures it, reads what it found and decides what to check next, then answers from what it measured. Included for everyone during the beta.

Prometheus and Thanos

Measurements over time: CPU, memory, latency, errors, saturation. Verbiqo keeps a map of what your server watches on your computer, so it can find the right measurement for a question without you knowing its name.

Splunk

Logs: what errors a service wrote, when they started, and what changed around them. Every search is built and checked by Verbiqo and bounded in time and size before Splunk sees it.

PostgreSQL

Database health: activity, locks, replication and table statistics, never the data in your tables. Verbiqo refuses superuser accounts and reads with a monitoring role.

Elasticsearch

Elasticsearch and OpenSearch clusters reviewed the way a specialist would: why a shard is unassigned, disk against the watermarks, heap, rejections, oversharding, mappings near their limit, lifecycle and snapshots. Paste a slow search to have it analyzed against the real mapping and rewritten. Documents are never read.

MySQL

The same for MySQL, from a single server to replicas and InnoDB Cluster: sessions, locks, replication, statement statistics and settings, never the data in your tables. Verbiqo refuses accounts that can write or administer.

SQL Server

SQL Server read through its system views: requests and blocking, waits, the heaviest queries, databases and their logs, availability groups, backups and failed Agent jobs, never the data in your tables. Every statement is planned before it runs, and Verbiqo refuses logins that can write or administer.

Redis

Redis and Valkey read through server commands: memory and eviction, the slow log and latency events, clients, persistence, replication and Redis Cluster, never your keys or values. Verbiqo sends only commands on its read list and refuses users that can administer the server.

Kubernetes

Clusters read through the API server: why pods crash, run out of memory, cannot pull or cannot be scheduled, stuck rollouts and the rollout that broke a service, nodes under pressure, room against requests and real use, what will hurt in a drain or an upgrade, and Pod Security, RBAC and network policy. Never Secrets or ConfigMaps, and only with an account that cannot change the cluster.

Security review

One review of every connected database and cluster: default logins, password policy, administrators, encryption, auditing, backups and supported versions, each control pass, fail or not checked, mapped to CIS Controls v8, ISO 27001 and SOC 2, and saved as evidence for an audit. Every read Verbiqo makes is on a tamper-evident access record your SIEM can receive.

Answers that show their working

Each answer lists which hosts and which times it checked, and the measurements it rests on. Numbers come from what was measured. Hosts that were down or not monitored are named, not silently left out. When a name or a time could mean more than one thing, Verbiqo asks.

Read-only throughout: Verbiqo cannot change, restart or delete anything. Connect a system

In the terminal

The same abilities as a verbiqo command: pipe a log in and ask why it failed, rewrite text in a script, or hold a conversation with a system attached.

On your Mac

Install it from the Verbiqo menu. It uses the AI service you set up in the app. Examples

On Linux servers

On request with a team or organization licence: a Linux build of the command line tool (x64 and arm64), for asking questions on the servers where the logs and services live. It is not a public download.

Wherever you already write

Mail, editors, browsers, terminals and chat clients. Verbiqo replaces text in place where the application supports it, and falls back to a guarded keyboard and clipboard path where it does not. It snapshots the application, the process and the exact selection first: move the cursor or change the text and the operation stops rather than writing to the wrong place. Clipboard fallback is shown before use and can be disabled; active clipboard-history tools may retain the original selection created by Cmd+C. Read the clipboard disclosure.
